A pal of mine has just bought a 2nd hand Bessacar, which as the Alde boiler under the bed. At first they tried sleeping at night with the heating on, but every time the boiler clicks in, it always wakes them up. Is this normal, or is there a modification or something that can be done to rectify the problem?

It may be that the circulation pump is worn or on it's way out. It may be worth stripping it down and refurbising it.

Another thing may be worth checking the pipe work is not rubbing anywhere.

Can you lift the seats and narrow down where the noise is coming from?

Or do you just mean that its running ok but the general noise is the issue? Like the fan on a blown air heater

I myself have never seen the van, so I cannot really say much, all I know is that it is under the island bed and it keeps them awake. I shall pass on the links to the alde manuals etc.
