Camping and Caravanning in Britain has never been more popular, and with so many quality campsites with facilities for all ages, why not give it a go?
At the 2010 British Leisure Show, we’re delighted to have partnered up with The Camping and Caravanning Club, the world’s oldest and largest Club for all forms of camping. The Club helps campers and caravanners make the most of their hobby, providing over 1,300 campsites across the UK.
More than 400,000 active members enjoy the services provided by the Club, and joining is easy. Membership costs just £36 per year, and you can find out how to join by visiting their stand and meeting the friendly team at the Show.
TENTS
On the Johns Cross and P.J. Camping stands you’ll find a range of tents from leading UK suppliers Coleman, Vango, Gelert, Wynnster, Royal, Outwell and SunnCamp. Johns Cross will also be displaying a selection of caravan awnings, and the Fiamma range of camping equipment and accessories.
Visit the Bell Tents stand to see super-practical tents that look romantic & stylish. The design is simple: unbleached cotton canvas drapes down from a central pole, and is held tight by guy ropes to create a distinctive old-fashioned shape outside and a glowing ambience within. Bell Tents are straightforward and quick to put up and you can even roll up the sides to create a breezy 360° chill-out space. Bell Tents start at £279 and can be bought, along with a wide range of accessories, at the Show.
Funky Leisure is an independent camping equipment store specialising in backpacking and festival camping. They stock a wide range of lightweight camping equipment including quick pitch tents, sleeping bags, festival wellies, windsocks, flags, telescopic flagpoles, eco torches and lanterns. So whether you’re looking for lightweight travel accessories for backpacking around the world, space saving on a motorcycle road trip or searching for an ultra lightweight tent for wild camping, they’ll have what you’re looking for.
CARAVANS
A ‘must-see’ at the Show is the unique range of iconic Airstream trailers, with a style all of their own. The aircraft-inspired aluminum clad bodies have been on the road for over 75 years, and are as popular today as ever before. The Airstream Bambi starts at around £32,000.
Tilshead Caravans are a long established family business with a philosophy of providing quality caravans. On display will be the latest models from the sporty Sprite range and the thoroughbred of the touring caravan world, Swift. The popular Charisma, Challenger and Conqueror ranges are a result of four decades of innovation, and a 2-berth Charisma starts at £12,628.
Bailey Caravans have pioneered a brand new design which delivers performance, durability, comfort and style. The Alu-Tech body shell construction system is the most significant development in caravan production technology for over thirty years, offering thermal insulation and a 10 year guarantee. The entire seven model Pegasus range can be viewed on the Stowford Farm Meadows stand. A 4-berth Bailey Pegasus 514, 2010 model, will cost around £16,635.
To complete the display of popular touring caravans, leading brands Compass, Coachman, Elddis, Lunar, and Buccaneer can be found on the Bicester Caravan and Leisure stand.
And if you’re looking for something bigger, take a look at our display of 5th Wheelers on the Calder Leisure and Fifth Wheel Co. stands. The huge, luxurious living space they offer really is something to behold!
Acorn Caravan and Trailer Hire is a family run business, with an ever expanding fleet of over 40 caravans and trailers of varying sizes and uses. Acorn is sure they can cater for your needs whether it’s a holiday to the coast, an outdoor event, construction site, or just simply as a temporary form of accommodation while you await building works to your home accommodation.
